Meet Dr. Amy Foxman

Amy is a psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst who has spent her career helping families navigate the real, everyday challenges of parenting.

As the Founder and President of Ability ABA, Amy has worked closely with children and families across all stages of development — from early childhood through adulthood — in homes, schools, clinics, and communities. Her work has always centered on one thing: helping families understand what’s happening and what to do next.

Amy brings a compassionate, thoughtful, and highly practical approach to parenting support. She combines deep expertise in child development and behavior with real-world strategies that parents can actually use — in their homes, in their routines, and in the moments that matter most.

She believes that parents don’t need more generic advice — they need clear, personalized guidance that fits their child and their family.

In addition to her clinical work, Amy has contributed to national research and best practices in autism and child development, including serving as a reviewer for the National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice report on evidence-based practices. She frequently presents at conferences and seminars, sharing her expertise with both professionals and families.

Amy earned her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of North Texas, her Master’s degree from the University of Washington, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors of the JCC Dallas and contributing to statewide initiatives through the Texas Health & Human Services Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee.
